Can you give me a home?

A page for Whiting Bay Primary School children in P123 class.

This class has been hearing about the homing of two kittens that came into Cats Protection care a few weeks ago. They had studied Caring for your Pet this last academic year. They have shown so much interest in the kittens that when a young waif and stray was brought into me at the school in the week before term finished I said I would keep them up to date with its progress over the summer holidays.

This is the little kitten, it weighs no more than a feather presently and has just started to regain its appetite. Yet where a young kitten at eight weeks would now be eating three packs of kitten food a day this one is struggling to eat one. It was found on a caravan park. It has already been found a home so please no enquiries for it although do not be put off asking about other cats we may have in our care or looking for homes for.

For the class of P123

This kitten has now been named 'Winston'.

winston

He is beginning to eat and has started playing games! What do you think he likes to eat? Send me an email and there will be  a prize for the right answer when we return next term.

He is already using his litter tray and sleeps on a fleece blanket.

Another photo will be posted soon. Meanwhile, Winston has grown and is playing games. He is becoming a cheeky little boy who likes to make himself very big and attack his toys from side on!
